New Forest Cottages
Set
in the centre of the South Coast, the New Forest remains the most English
of Forests. William the Conqueror gave the Forest his special protection
over 900 years ago. Indeed, the system set in place to protect the woodland
and wilderness heaths still works today, which provides the New Forest

every taste and age. Visit the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, go to
Buckler's Hard, where ships for Nelson's Fleet were built, take the ferry
from Lymington to the Isle of Wight or enjoy a stroll through the Exbury
Gardens. The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester, Stonehenge
and the seaside resort of Bournemouth are all within easy reach, which
means that the New Forest is an ideal base to explore this corner of England.
