Wood House is situated a 1/2 of a mile down a short unmade road and
offers immediate access onto the wood and heathland of the New Forest.
It is an ideal place to relax and unwind and to enjoy the country
pursuits - walking, cycling, birdwatching, horseriding and golf - which
this beautiful corner of southern England offers its visitors. The
ancient landscape of the forest is unique, remaining little changed by
the modern world.
For those seeking to enjoy their holiday at a more leisurely pace,
this is also a very convenient touring area with the many visitor
attractions of the New Forest (Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard, Exbury Gardens,
Lymington), the shopping centres of Salisbury and Southampton and the
coastal towns of Bournemouth and Christchurch an easy car drive. More
local shopping is available 4 miles away in the small country town of
Fordingbridge.
The apartment occupies a wonderfully peaceful setting, at the
west end of the main house. It is at 1st floor level and has a large
balcony with decking, overlooking four acres of grounds, which include
a small paddock occupied by the owners' two donkeys and sheep.
The apartment is completely self-contained and has been
furnished and equipped to a very high standard, catering very
adequately for visitors' needs.
